June 2012 — "I must say that i am disappionted in the change of the festival of friends bein taken from gage park! it was apart of the downtown culture and its just not the same. The location may be bigger but just didnt meet my expectations compared to Gage park.I took my son, the parking was dangerous it was dark it was a mess.Thank you."
"New venue is just not the same."
July 2011 — "The festival has moved from Gage Park to the Ancaster Fair Grounds. It is overcrowded with drunk teenagers attending only to see popular bands, I literally felt like I was at Molson Park for Edgefest.. even the parking 3 hour jam to get in and to get out (a total of 6 hours spent in a car angry and hot) took place. Prior to this it was a wonderful festival of kind people meeting in Gage Park for the best weekend the city had to offer us during summer. Musicians spread out all over the park, food from around the world to taste, great performers at night. There was plenty for the children to do from face painting to pony rides. This sadly, no longer exists. It is now more of just a night concert, the funds for the event are now spent on one individual act or band to perform. I miss the oldschool ways."
One of Canada's largest free showcases of contemporary art and music featuring top recording artists in concert and workshops. This is a family oriented event.
