"Fancy Fun on the Farm"
September 2008 — "I'd never been to a horse event (not even racing), but I think horses are cool so was looking forward to checking out the Spruce Meadows Masters (which is apparently a pretty big deal.) Spruce Meadows is an attractive complex, with arenas, exhibition space and lots of green grass. On this day it was bustling with visitors watching the international show jumping events, queuing for tasty treats from around the world at the food fair, perusing arts, crafts, horsey stuff and other bits and pieces in the exhibition building, patting passing horses with uniformed riders on them, and sitting in the sun enjoying the live brass band music and jazz. With an old-fashioned fair atmosphere, it was a very pleasant and fun afternoon. Oh, and the dog show was so cute and funny--a definite highlight."
See the world's best equestrian athletes compete for over two million dollars in prize money at this exciting international show jumping tournament. The grand Masters Tournament also includes the Equi-Fair, Festival of Nations, Battle of the Breeds and the Spruce Meadows Prairie Dogs competition.
