Pointe-a-Calliere's 18th-Century Public Market

For a weekend in August, Old Montreal bustles with farmers, craftspeople, storytellers and musicians as it did in 1750. This unique, festive event comprises live entertainment, historical re-enactments, a native encampment, military regiment, children's activities and of course plenty of fresh produce and authentic 18th-century products like wild fruit jams, cider, cheese, sausage, buckwheat pancakes and spruce beer.
