The Ride to Conquer Cancer presented by Silver Wheaton benefiting the BC Cancer Foundation
Thousands of dedicated people will embark on a two-day, 200-kilometre cycling journey from Vancouver throughout the Pacific Northwest on Saturday, August 27 and Sunday, August 28, 2016. In seven years, the Ride to Conquer Cancer has raised over $70 million for the BC Cancer Foundation and is BCs largest cycling fundraiser.
Funds raised through the Ride to Conquer Cancer enable the BC Cancer Foundation to support breakthrough research and enhancements to care at the BC Cancer Agency.
Riders are supported by hundreds of volunteers and crew members, providing meals, water and snack stops, gear transport, portable restrooms, safety on the course, comprehensive medical services and an overnight campsite complete with tents, hot showers and entertainment.
Visitors are invited to support and motivate Riders throughout their two-day journey, beginning with opening ceremonies on Saturday, August 27 at Cloverdale Rodeo and Exhibition Fairgrounds at 17798 62nd Ave. in Surrey, BC.
Guests can also attend official cheer stations located in communities throughout the Pacific Northwest.
Riders will participate in an overnight camp experience at Skagit County Fairgrounds at 1410 Virginia St. in Mt. Vernon, WA and visitors are welcome to join the camp celebration, ending day one of the Ride.
On day two of the event, Riders will cycle to King Countys Marymoor Park at 6046 West Lake Sammamish Pkwy NE in Redmond, WA. Guests are encouraged to attend the finish line and support participants as they complete their two-day journey.
